Red Sox 11 - Royals 9

I was lucky enough to score some comp tickets from the Royal's bench coach due to his friendship with my father in-law. Behind home plate. It was sweet.

The ERA's sure took a beating this day. Things started out ugly again for the Sox. We fell behind 5-0 and the crowd was getting a little restless. Clement struck out the first batter he faced. But his command wasn't too good. He was a strike away from getting out of a bases loaded jam but gave up a bases clearing double.

Edgar and Tek pretty much took care of the rest of the day. Edgar with 5 RBI including two big doubles, and Tek with the slammer to put us way out ahead. The Royals didn't roll over and die, and made it interesting. Schill came in and gave up a bomb to Sweeney, but managed to get the next three for another save.

Papi walked his first three at bats (one intentional). With Manny out, this guy does look like Barry Bonds.

Clement didn't pitch that poorly, and his mental state seemed to be good enough.
