Another overall solid game for the Sox. Arroyo wasn't razor sharp, but he was good enough to get the deal sealed. He pitched 8, the best three were the 6-8 innings. He got better as the night wore on. After giving up two in the first and another one in the second, and it could have been worse, it looked like a short night was in store.
Millar started our scoring with a homer into the Monster seats. We got some walks and a bloop hit to load them in the third and Papi hit a single to score two. With two out Trot hit a double to score another.
Cora a triple to score Mueller and scored himself on Johnny's sac fly.
In the mean time Arroyo was getting guys out. He gave up 8 hits but didn't walk anyone. Timlin came in and threw a strong ninth, striking out two for the save.
All in all a nice solid effort.
