A nice pitching peformance by Clement and the bullpen was wasted. We had big chances in the 8th and 9th and didn't get it done. The 8th really killed me... we had men on first and second, no out. Then Manny, Renteria and Papi all take strike three with the bat on their shoulders.
The ninth was almost as bad. K-Rod was wild and we ended up with the bases loaded, but Petagine struck out. At least he went down swinging.
The good news is the staff continues to pitch well.
