| Manny Still HomeThe usual trade deadline BS is now behind us. The Manny saga is over for the time being, I hope. Now we can think about going back to back.
When stuff like this Manny soap opera hits, you really wonder how much is true and how much it's media hype. The Boston media has run more than one guy out of town on what is suspect information. I for one am glad Manny's still with the team.
Nice game yesterday. This rookie Papelbon looked pretty good. He was basically challenging ever hitter with his heat. Seven K's in a little over 5 innings is great. If this guy cuts down on his walks he could be real good.
We did a great job of keeping their guys from scoring. They stranded 14. It was a lot of nerve racking, bases loaded stress, but we got the job done.
Nice catch by Kapler. That's a tough play with the ball tailing so hard. He miss-judged it but made a nice recovery. If that ball gets by him we lose.
Then Manny comes up with the heroics, and all is forgiven.
