Mmmmmmmm, a little home cooking goes a long way. First, the bats. Nice to get some clutch hitting early to give Clement some breating room. Mueller's excuse-me swing to dump a wounded quail into right field was a thing a beauty. We weren't getting jack for breaks lately and this one justt falls in there. Later he had a sharp double to plate another two.

Papi's homer was so tall it almost borought rain early. It's nice to see the boys getting it going. Vasquez only got one hit but it too was a big one early. Nice job filling in.

Clement pitched very well again. This guy throws hard and the movement on his fastball is something else. Only one walk in seven innings, and one unearned run. Love it.

By the way Tek is hitting a very unnoticed .344 right now. Nobody's talking about it. Can't figure that one out. Gee, glad we resigned him?
