Tim pitched a beauty yesterday. The knukle ball was dancing just enough so the D-Rays couldn't get the sweet part of the bat on the ball, but not so much that he walked everybody in sight. He gave our tired bull pen some rest and the offense didn't have to sweat too much.
Hanging Chad Bradford looked better today. Thank goodness.
Billy Mueller had a nice game. He's a solid third baseman and I don't think gets a lot of credit for his defense. He also had a key double to help give us some breathing room.
Cora's homer was a nice surprise. I think Mark Bellhorn is in serious trouble of losing his job. I like the guy and will forever be thankful for his great performance in last year's post season. But the both guys the Sox have picked up look better with the glove and bat right now.
When the Sox sign Halama you knew that was a project. The guy is done. I'm sorry to see most guys get released, but we had to move on.
About the Manny stuff. I wish the Boston media would just get his butt. So he didn't run hard on a potential double play. Does anyone know how is physically? Is he playing with nagging injuries and doesn't play the martyr and tell you he's playing hurt? It's a long grinding season and these are the dog days. Give the guy a day off in front of a scheduled day off and maybe he'll be much better. Let's not chase yet another quality player out of here, OK?
